Seasons and Shares
One of the distinctions of our CSA is the season. Instead of a traditional June to October share, we have divided shares into 3 smaller seasonal offerings:
We hope you will join us in the growing and eating of good food. You can join for 1 season or all 3!

What we grow
Throughout the season, your weekly share is made up of the freshest vegetables available from the farm. The variety and amount in the share depend on the season and the good will of the weather.
We strive to provide 6-8 items weekly. Our goal is to provide lettuce or our market favorite greens mix each week in the share. In addition to the salad greens, we try to balance the share with vegetables for cooking and raw munching.
Our 3 hoophouses/high tunnels will allow us to bring you some crops earlier (cucumbers, zucchini, and tomatoes) and later (greens, lettuce) in the season.
In addition to the vegetables, at the beginning of the season you will receive a small farm handbook. Each week you will receive an email newsletter listing items in the share and farm news.
The pickup for the spring and fall season CSA shares is on Wednesday afternoons 1:30 to 6:30pm at 5th Season Gardening (900 Preston Avenue). The winter share pickup is same place and time just on Tuesday.
What is a CSA?
CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a unique partnership between a farm and local eaters. Before the season begins, local eaters make a commitment to purchase from a farm for the growing season. The farmer, in turn, grows and harvests a weekly selection of fresh, seasonal produce, “a share”.
In a CSA, you, the eater, share with the farmer, the rewards and risk of farming: both the crops that exceed expectation and those that come up short. Every season offers both the joys and challenges of working with nature. As your farmer, we take the responsibility of growing your food, very seriously: farming organically and diligently planting a wide variety of crops throughout the season.
